Sincere Thank You to all who attended CALL’s information meeting on Monday last. We appreciate you making the effort to engage in a community response to a global issue.
Wonderful presentations from the core sub groups and a very interesting Q & A afterwards. Rosarie Tiernan and James Ryan gave a wonderful overview. Paul Butler and Ciara Cullen talked about forestation projects, and Mary O’Malley talked about our efforts to help people growing their own vegetables. Iliana Chollett talked about slowing down the circular economy and Jim Campbell and Richard Mannion about how to make our houses more energy efficient. Thanks to all who brought homemade/homegrown samples, especially Ciara from Macalla Farm, Clare Island who managed to bring delicious sweet grapes across the bay from Clare Island, And Wendy & Steve from Woo in the Willows for a wonderful display of their amazing products. Thanks to community Volunteer Brige for looking after the refreshments.
