Solar PV installation began with the three members of the Energy subgroup installing PV at their homes in our locality. Having our own PV experiences has enriched the process of assisting others immensely.

In 2022/2023 in the first solar Meitheal we assisted 12 members of the community in installing 89.2 kWp of solar energy.

In our second Solar Meitheal in spring 2023 we proceeded with 10 new projects totaling 54.8 kWp, and a further 10 households and 66.6 kWp in the third Meitheal in summer. We’re currently rolling out our fourth Meitheal, 3 households and 17.9 kWp installed so far.

Therefore our current estimated of PV installed is 228.5 Kw in 35 households. And counting!
