Event: Halloween swap

Author:

It is scary! In Ireland we bin about 700,000 costumes every Halloween! 83% of the costumes are made using non-recyclable petroleum-based plastics; meaning they are set for landfill.

Most halloween costumes get used only once. If you want your kid to have a “new” costume this year, why not get a pre-loved one?

This is a team effort with Louisburgh National School, Louisburgh Playschool, Killeen National School and Killeen Playschool. Drop your costumes there (they don’t need to be scary!) and pick one up Saturday morning 28th in Louisburgh Hall. You can also swap on the spot if you didn’t manage to drop first.

The best option this halloween is to wear what you have or to make your own, but if you want a store costume, come to the Hall first!
