A tree planting ceremony organised by Paul representing CALL took place on Sunday 27th March 2022. As part of National Tree Week, Paul met the community on the banks of the Bunowen River to plant 15 trees, a mix of Oak, Birch, Scots and Hazel.
“We were blessed with the weather and the lovely people that turned up!”
Paul has been a wonderful ambassador in our community encouraging the planting of trees, especially native species, he has offered support and advice to all interested in getting started with trees and their care. He previously hosted a care, advice and planting workshop with the students of Holy Family National School in Killeen.
The trees planted last week are just one of many projects currently ongoing in the Louisburgh area by CALL. The trees were supplied by Mayo County Council for participation in National Tree Week 2022.
