We received about 50 little native trees from Native Woodland Trust that needed a new home today. They came without labels, but after some detective work we figured out we had about a dozen each of hawthorn, oak, alder and rowan.
We distributed the trees through our ‘Growing Louisburgh’ WhatsApp group and they all went within 5 minutes!
We love giving away trees and planting the idea that yes, trees belong in windy, exposed South East Mayo. Let’s make this corner of the world what it once was 💪🌳
