We have been busy serving a distributor of the new free trees Ireland project to help planting trees across the land. The network of distributors is pretty neat and we’re the westernmost location! This February they distributed 20,000 trees across the country and we shared 776 here in Louisburgh. It took an entire car full of trees and some work to sort out 6 species with native provenance into bundles and share them to 30 locals who wanted to plant. We also shared some knowledge on planting and information on other options for plant available for people with enough land to plant through government grants. All and all, a great couple of days. Looking forward to doing it again next winter!
